From March 2016, a new distribution centre with 120,000 m² logistics space will sprout up in Hückelhoven.

The online shop is expanding further. The central location of the new logistics centre gives the e-commerce company many advantages. Service orientation and customer satisfaction can thus be expanded and strengthened further. “Customer satisfaction is our highest priority. In order to make our customers happy, we’re working on expanding our logistics area in particular. With the establishment of the new centre in Hückelhoven, we double our current logistics space and take another decisive step towards international expansion,” says the JAGO AG founder and CEO, Goran Jakovac.


Advantages of the new location

Hückelhoven is a popular logistics location. Large companies like QVC and Hermes have built their distribution centres here. Hückelhoven’s advantages are obvious. The central location of the region within Europe, the good transport infrastructure, and the proximity to the Belgian and Dutch international ports make the region an attractive site for JAGO AG.

Thus far, the online shop delivers five million parcels annually to their customers from five warehouse locations in Eschwege, Dassel, Mühlheim, Hilden and Gittelde. The ground-breaking ceremony for the JAGO distribution centre in Hückelhoven takes place in August 2015; the launch is planned for March 2016. The modular construction in Hückelhoven will, upon full completion, create up to 800 new jobs. It contributes to the improvement of logistical processes and gives the company new opportunities.

From Hückelhoven to Europe

The largest storage location in the history of JAGO AG so far will be built in Hückelhoven. In just 2012 the online shop doubled their logistics space from 25,000 to 50,000 m². The company currently has a total capacity of 110,000 m². Goran Jakovac chose the large location wisely: “The location of the new distribution centre gives us a huge number of benefits, which we can pass on to our customers directly. For example, in the near future we’re planning to go online with our Dutch shop. From the outset, our future customers from this region will benefit from shorter delivery distances and therefore quicker delivery times.”


Further expansion in sight

Big goals are among the guiding principles of the company. On the German market, as well as many areas of the European market, has already successfully established itself. “A long journey also begins with a small step,” says Jakovac. “We’ve already taken many steps, and we’ll go even further. With this big step, expansion outside Europe also moves within reach for us. I am proud that, with the support of my international team of maximum 800 employees, I could continually develop service quality and customer satisfaction. Hückelhoven will, I am sure, strengthen our competencies in these areas even further.”
