FAQs and Tips for Applicants

  1. What documents should I include in my application?

Please submit your documents in PDF format, in either German or English. Your documents should include a cover letter, a German-format CV (known as a Lebenslauf), and any relevant references. Please also include your earliest start date and your salary expectations (annual pre-tax), and remember to mention the job position you are applying for at the top of your cover letter.

  2. Who can I speak to if I have questions about a position or the recruitment process?

Please contact Andreas Weigler for all enquiries

  3. How does the recruitment process work at JAGO AG?

Once you have submitted your application, we will look through it thoroughly. This may take some time, as we like to ensure we consider every application comprehensively. If we are impressed by your application, we will invite you to an interview with the relevant departmental staff. If this interview proves successful, you will be invited to a second interview with our Human Resources department, and then on the basis of these two interviews we will contact you to let you know whether or not  your application has been successful.

  4. How can I make an impression when I apply online?

Ensure that your documents are complete, professionally finished, and accurate. A polished online CV can make just as much impact as one submitted by post. Please remember to include your postal address and telephone number in all applications, so that we can contact you easily.

  5. How should I prepare for my interview?

Planning and preparation are the key to a successful interview. Take the time to research the position, the JAGO AG company, and the e-commerce market and industry in general. Be clear about your goals and expectations before you go in to the interview. It is also beneficial to arrive on time, to dress in a professional and businesslike manner, and to present a friendly, polite, and positive attitude during your interview.

  6. Is this position still available?

If you can see a position on our site, it will still be open. We remove postings from our site the moment the position is filled.

  7. Should I apply?

So long as you possess at least two-thirds of the required skills and abilities for a position, and are able to prove this with reference to prior qualifications and experience, then it is worth applying. The more related skills you possess, the more likely your application is to succeed. If you are in doubt as to whether experience you have is relevant, please contact human.resources@jago-ag.de.

  8. Does JAGO AG accept speculative applications?

Yes, we do.  If you believe that, having researched our company, you have skills and abilities which could genuinely contribute to the continued growth and success of JAGO AG, please submit your documents and a cover letter to human.resources@jago-ag.de. Please remember to mention which location(s) you are able to accept employment at.

  9. Will I receive confirmation that my application has been received?

Yes, as soon as is possible. This confirmation will be sent manually and so will not be instant. As standard, we use e-mails to confirm interviews and the like, so please remember to check your inbox regularly. If you are expecting a mail from us but have not received one, it is worth checking your junk folder, as some stringent filters block out all e-mails sent from company addresses.

  10. Do you offer internships or apprenticeships?

We do engage in training and educational placements. Please contact human.resources@jago-ag.de about open posts, and include your preferred format, starting dates, and duration.

  11. I have already applied for a position and was not successful. Can I apply for another?

If your previous application was not successful, you can of course apply for a second position – it may be that you are much more suited to the newer position, or that you came a close second out of fifty applicants for the last posting. Before submitting a second application, however, please check both your own credentials and the job posting thoroughly, to make sure that you really are suitable for the position.

  12. Will my personal information be safe with JAGO AG?

Yes. We guarantee that your personal information will be stored and used in total compliance with the Federal Data Protection Act, in accordance with German law.
